An
April Shower
This month my younger sister is having a baby and since it is her
second bundle of joy we are not planning to throw her a baby shower.
I will make sure to shower her with gifts she can really use. My
plan is to make her a few fully cooked meals and snacks, clean her
house and do the laundry for my nephew’s homecoming.
Bringing food to friends that just moved in, recuperating from
an illness or just showering them with some edible goodies is
always a welcomed gesture. Since I like to cook, showering my
friends with gifts of food becomes an inexpensive, but thoughtful
way to show my love.
I want to make my sister some of her childhood favorites because
she is always so sweet to me. Meatballs
in Brown Gravy will make her smile even after hours
of labor. Jazzy
Rice is a good accompaniment for the meatballs or
as side dish with grilled chicken or fish.
I do recognize that my sister is not the only proud parent in
that household so a batch of Oatmeal
Spice Cookies for my brother in law should keep her
hubby happy while we all shower the new baby with plenty of hugs
and kisses.
