Clabber Girl is pleased to announce the addition of a new columnist
to our website and e-newsletter. Chef Tony Hanslits, Director
of Culinary Education at The Chef's Academy in Indianapolis is
joining the Clabber Girl team of culinary professionals to bring
you monthly recipes and cooking tips.
Chef Tony has been Executive Chef of some of Indianapolis' finest
restaurants and was co-owner of Tavola di Tosa Italian Restaurant
in Indy and Tosa Euro Cafe in Broadripple, Indiana. A 30 year
veteran in the culinary arena, Chef Tony and his recipes have
appeared in numerous publications. He has won many culinary competitions,
including the 2002 Pork Association Taste of Elegance. Most recently,
Chef Tony was a finalist in the 2004 Italian Cooking and Living
Magazine competition held in New York.
His love of the culinary arts and passion for teaching led him
to design an exceptional hands-on training course at The Chef's
Academy that includes practical food preparation skills, and presentation
of classic and international cuisine. There is additional focus
on store room operations, nutrition, safety, sanitation, food
selection and purchasing. He points out that "restaurants
prefer trained culinarians not only because they're good cooks
but because they are efficient".
