Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Cake


1 cup vegetable oil
2 cups sugar
2 eggs, beaten
1 15-9z. can pumpkin
1 cup chopped pecans
6 oz. chocolate chips
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons baking soda
2 teaspoons Clabber Girl Baking Powder
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon vanilla


In a large bowl, sift together flour, salt, baking soda, Clabber Girl Baking Powder and cinnamon. In a medium bowl, combine oil, sugar, eggs, pumpkin and vanilla; combine with dry ingredients. Mix in chocolate chips and nuts.
Pour batter into a greased and floured 9x13-inch baking pan.

Bake at 350 degrees F. for 25 to 30 minutes, until cake springs back when center is touched lightly.

May frost with cream cheese frosting or chocolate frosting.
