Cranberry Chipper Bar with Streusel
1 tub CRANBERRY CHIPPERS Cookie Mix
1 1/2 sticks softened butter (12 Tablespoons)
2 large eggs
2 cups fresh cranberries
1/2medium size orange
3/4can whole berry cranberry sauce
2 Tablespoons grated orange peel
1 cup flour
4 Tablespoons cold butter-cubed
Preheat oven to 350°
Prepare streusel: Combine flour, sugar and cold butter, using a pastry blender or fingers until the mixture is crumbly. Set aside.
Blend cookie mix, softened butter and eggs, using 1 to 2 Tablespoons of water, if necessary for mixing. Pat into a 9x11 greased pan. Bake for 18 minutes.
Meanwhile, blend fresh cranberries, orange and sugar into blender or processor until finely chopped-almost pureed. Spread over baked cookie crust as soon as it is removed from oven. Sprinkle with the prepared streusel and bake for 15 more minutes. Cool completely before cutting into bars.
