1 12-oz. box Passover Yellow Cake (or marble or chocolate)
1/4 cup water
1 cup puree ripe banana
1/4 cup chocolate chips
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Spray an 8 or 9 inch square or round cake pan with nonstick cooking spray.
Whip all the ingredients, except the chocolate chips, together for 1-2 minutes until smooth. Pour into prepared cake pan and sprinkle chocolate chips on top. Place on baking sheet and bake until cake springs back when gently pressed, about 25-35 minutes. Cool before serving.
Comments:Ok - a cake cheat sheet. If you want it quick and easy and at Passover, this is just the thing. Blitz cakes are old-fashioned "quick" cakes from Jewish European baking of yesteryear. Blitz means quick - these cakes were also called lightening cakes, and ingredients varied.
