Makes approximately 50
- 1 cup margarine
- 2 1/4 cups packed brown sugar
- 4 eggs
- 2 1/2 cups sifted flour
- 2 1/2 teaspoons Clabber Girl Baking Powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 cup chopped walnuts or pecans
- Frosting (if desired)
- Garnish: walnut or pecan halves
Melt margarine in saucepan. Add brown sugar and blend well. Remove from heat and cool. Add eggs and dry ingredients. Add vanilla, chocolate chips and walnuts. Stir until combined.
Spread in greased 15x10x1 inch jelly roll pan.
Bake at 350 degrees F for 30 to 35 minutes. Cool completely before frosting and cut into squares, then garnish with nut halves.
