Drop Tea Cakes

Ingredients:

  • 1 Cup Butter
  • 2 Eggs (Medium or Large)
  • 1/2 Tsp. baking soda
  • 1 Tsp. Lemon Juice
  • 1 Tsp. Clabber Girl Baking Powder
  • 1-1/2 Cups Granulated Sugar
  • 3 Cups Flour
  • GLAZE:
  • Powdered Sugar
  • Milk
  • 2 Tsp Lemon Juice

Instructions:

Cream Butter, Eggs, and Sugar till well mixed. Add Lemon Juice. Combine Flour, Clabber Girl Baking Powder, Baking Soda to Butter Mixture. Mix on low speed till completely mixed.
Drop by tablespoon onto greased cookie sheet or you can use a #40 Ice Cream Dipper, it works the best. Makes all of the cookies the same size. Then Mix Powdered Sugar, Milk and Lemon Juice in a bowl.

Bake at 350 Degrees F. for 10 to 15 minutes or until light brown. Let cool for about 2 minutes, then pour powdered sugar glaze on top and serve.
