Spaghetti with Meat Sauce
Ingredients:
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 pound ground pork
- 1 1/2 cups chopped onion
- 1 cup chopped green bell pepper
- 6 garlic cloves, chopped
- 1 tablespoon Italian Seasoning
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 2 (28-ounce) cans crushed tomatoes
- 1 (28-ounce) can tomato sauce
- 2 bay leaves
- Hot cook spaghetti or other pasta
Instructions:
In a large Dutch oven or heavy pot combine first 10 ingredients (beef-pepper). Brown meat mixture over medium-high heat. Drain any visible grease. Add remaining ingredients, mixing well. Bring to a simmer; cover and let cook over low heat 1- 1/12 hours stirring occasionally to thoroughly blend flavors.Serve with hot cooked pasta.
Yield: 10-12 servings
