Sweet Cornflake Kugel
Ingredients:
- 1 pound flat egg noodles, cooked and drained
- 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 1/2 cups sour cream
- 6 eggs
- 1 cup sugar
- 3/8 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
- 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
- 2 cups creamed cottage cheese
- 1 12 ounce can crushed pineapple, drained
- Finishing Touches:
- Melted butter
- Corn flake crumbs
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 350 F. Generously spray a 9 by 13 inch casserole with non-stick spray or smear with unsalted butter. In a large bowl, blend all the ingredients together. Spoon into the casserole and then sprinkle top with corn flake crumbs.
Bake 60-75 minutes or until kugel seems firm and top is slightly browned.
Serves 5-7
