Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies


1/2 c. butter (softened)
1/2 c. smooth peanut butter
1 c. granulated sugar
1 c. brown sugar (firmly packed)
2 eggs
2 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. Rumford Baking Soda
1/2 tsp. Clabber Girl Baking Powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/2 c. oatmeal (quick cooking)
1 c. semi-sweet chocolate chip morsels


Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

In a large bowl cream butter, peanut butter, and sugars. Beat until light and fluffy. Add eggs (one at a time) beating well after each addition.

In a separate bowl mix together flour, Rumford Baking Soda, Clabber Girl Baking Powder, and salt. Pour into creamed mixture a little at a time and mix well. Stir in chocolate chips and oats. With hands, shape into 1-inch balls and place on greased cookie sheet. Flatten with fork, making crisscross pattern on top of each cookie.

Bake for 9 minutes. When done, place cookies on wire racks and allow cooling.
