Coconut Pecan Filling and Frosting
1 cup evaporated milk 1 cup sugar 3 egg yolks, slightly beaten 1/2 cup margarine or butter 1 teaspoon vanilla 1 1/3 cups pecans, chopped 1 Cup flaked coconut
Instructions:In a medium saucepan combine evaporated milk, sugar, egg yolks, margarine or butter and vanilla. Cook and stir over medium heat until mixture thickens, about 12 minutes. Remove from heat; add chopped pecans and coconut. Cool until frosting is of spreading consistency, beating occasionally.
