Jiffy Chocolate Frosting
- 1 cup sugar
- 3 tablespoons Clabber Girl Cornstarch
- 2 1-ounce squares unsweetened chocolate, grated
- Dash of Salt
- 1 cup boiling water
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1. Mix sugar and cornstarch in a saucepan, add chocolate and salt.
2. Add boiling water, cook, stirring constantly, until mixture thickens.
3. Remove from heat; blend in butter and vanilla.
4. Spread on cake while hot for glossy frosting which remains soft and smooth.
