Basic Good Brown Gravy


  • 1/4 cup meat drippings (from roast)
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 tablespoon Clabber Girl Cornstarch
  • 1/2 cup water
  • salt & pepper to taste


In a saucepan combine meat drippings and water; bring to a boil. In a cup combine cornstarch and 1/2 cup water until cornstarch is dissolved; add to saucepan and stir. Heat to boiling, boil 1 minute. Remove from heat.

Salt and pepper to taste.
