2 cups Clabber Girl Master Mix*
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
1 egg, unbeaten
1 cup applesauce
oil for frying
1/2 cup confectioners' sugar
brown paper bag
Measure Clabber Girl Master Mix* by spoonfuls into a measuring cup. Turn into a mixing bowl. Stir in nutmeg, unbeaten egg, and applesauce; mix together.
Preheat deep fryer to 375°F
Dip by small teaspoonfuls into hot oil until evenly brown. They just about turn themselves as they fry.
Drain on paper towels. Allow doughnut balls to cool about 20 minutes. Put confectioners' sugar into a brown paper bag and shake to coat into snowballs. Serve with hot coffee.
