Hamburger Soup

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1 (1 lb.) can tomatoes, cut up
  • 2 medium carrots, peeled and sliced
  • 2 medium potatoes, peeled and cubed
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1/2 cup chopped celery
  • 3 cups water
  • 3 beef bouillion cubes or 3 c. beef broth
  • 1 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 1/4 tsp. dried oregano leaves, crushed
  • 1 cup frozen green beans

Instructions:

Brown ground beef in a kettle; drain off excess fat. Add remaining ingredients, except green beans. Bring to a boil; reduce heat. Cover and continue simmering 15 minutes more. Add green beans; return to simmering for 5 minutes. Serve immediately. This is very good.
