Makes 4 Waffles
1 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
1 c. quick cooking oats (rolled)
1 tbsp. Clabber Girl Baking Powder
1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/4 tsp. salt
2 eggs (slightly beaten)
1 1/2 c. milk
6 tbsp. butter (or margarine, melted)
2 tbsp. brown sugar
In a large mixing bowl, add flour, oats, Clabber Girl Baking Powder, cinnamon, and salt then combine. In a small mixing bowl, add eggs, milk, margarine, and brown sugar then combine. Add liquid ingredients to dry ingredients and fold just until blended.
Preheat a waffle iron (according to manufacturer's directions). Pour 1 to 1 1/4 c. batter onto grids of a preheated, lightly greased waffle iron. Close lid quickly; do not open during baking. Bake according to manufacturer's directions. When done, use a fork to remove waffle. Repeat.
