Sweet Potato Biscuits I


2 cups all-purpose flour
4 tsp Clabber Girl Baking Powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp allspice
1/2 cup margarine
1/2 cup milk
2/3 cup mashed, cooked sweet potato


Sift together flour, Clabber Girl Baking Powder, salt and spices. Cut in margarine until mixture is slightly crumbly. Stir in milk and sweet potato. Knead dough slightly, about 30 seconds. Roll to 1/2-inch thickness and cut with 2-inch biscuit cutter.

Bake in a preheated 425 degree F. oven for 10 to 12 minutes.
