Sweet Potato Biscuits I


2 c. all-purpose flour
4 tsp. Clabber Girl Baking Powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. allspice
1/2 c. butter (margarine)
1/2 c. milk
2/3 c. sweet potato (cooked and mashed)


Preheat oven to 425 degrees F. Combine flour, Clabber Girl Baking Powder, salt, and spices. Cut butter (margarine) in dry ingredients mixture until mixture resembles a course crumb. Combine milk and sweet potato, stir into dry mixture.

Stir in milk and sweet potato. Knead dough slightly, about 30 seconds. Roll to 1/2-inch thickness and cut with 2-inch biscuit cutter.

Bake for 10 to 12 minutes.
