Mushroom Gravy (printable)
Ingredients
1/2 cup meat drippings (from roast,
or use beef broth)
2 cups water
1 teaspoon basil
1/2 teaspoon marjoram
1/2 cup milk
2 tablespoons Rumford Cornstarch
1 small can or jar chopped mushroom stems & pieces
Instructions
In 1 quart saucepan, mix together broth, water and spices.
Heat to boiling. In a bowl, mix together cornstarch and milk.
Add to broth mixture. Cooking over medium heat and stirring
frequently, bring mixture to boil. Boil for 1 minute, stirring
constantly. Add mushrooms and remove from heat. Let sit for
1 or 2 minutes before serving.
