Streusel Crumb Cake

Ingredients
2 cups white sugar
3 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup butter or shortening
3 teaspoons Clabber Girl Baking Powder
3 eggs, beaten
1 cup milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Confectioner’s sugar
Instructions
Heat oven to 350°F.Lightly grease one 13 x 9 inch
rectangular pan or two 8-inch round pans.
Mix sugar and flour together. Cut
the butter into the flour and sugar until the mixture
resembles coarse crumbs. Reserve 1/2 cup of this mixture
as crumbs for top of cake. To the remaining flour mixture
stir in the baking powder, eggs, milk, and vanilla and
mix well. Pour batter into prepared pan. To the reserved
crumb mixture, add 1 teaspoon of cinnamon and sprinkle
over batter. Bake at 350°F for about 45 minutes (35
minutes if using two 8-inch round cake pans) or until
a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Dust
cooled cake with confectioners' sugar.
