Clabber Girl Baking Mix
- 9 c. all-purpose flour may substitute up to half of the all-purpose flour with whole wheat flour, whole wheat pastry flour or your choice of bleached o
- 1/3 c. Clabber Girl Baking Powder
- 1 tbsp. salt
- 1/4 c. granulated sugar
- 1 tsp. cream of tartar
- 2 c. shortening
Preheat oven to 450 degrees F. Combine all ingredients and mix gently until dough just comes together. Place dough onto surface dusted with flour or Clabber Girl Baking Mix (to prevent sticking). Roll out to 1/2-inch thickness. Cut with a floured biscuit cutter and place on a greased baking sheet.
Bake for 12 to 14 minutes or until golden brown.
