Rum Raisin Glaze

This is the perfect glaze for baked ham! Make your own at home, it will add an extra sweetness preferred by many.


  • 1/2 c. dark rum
  • 1/2 c. maple syrup
  • 1/4 c. butter
  • 1/4 c. golden raisins


Heat all ingredients in small saucepan over moderate heat until butter is melted. Glaze ham with a pastry brush. Baste ham with glaze every 20 minutes or until ham is heated or cooked thoroughly. Serve remaining glaze as a dipping sauce, if desired.
