This apple steusel cake is made easy by starting with the Clabber Girl Baking Mix. You can use any type of apple for this recipe, but Granny Smith apples are a favorite for their flavor when baked.

  • 1/2 c. milk plus 2 Tbsp
  • 2 c. apples peeled and sliced
  • 1 tbsp. lemon juice
  • 3/4 c. brown sugar packed
  • 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 c. boiling water

Heat oven to 350 F. Mix Baking Mix and sugar in medium bowl.

Stir in milk. Pour into ungreased 9x9x2-inch pan. Top with apples; sprinkle with lemon juice. Pour boiling water over apples. Mix brown sugar and cinnamon; sprinkle over apples. Bake one hour or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
