Quick Cherry Coffeecake

The flavors go very well together. Savory and satisfying.


  • 1/2 c. butter softened
  • 1 c. granulated sugar
  • 2 lg. eggs
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 1/2 c. milk
  • 2 c. all-purpose flour
  • 2 tsp. Clabber Girl Baking Powder
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1 can Cherry Pie Filling 19 oz.


Preheat oven to 350 F., and spray a 9 x 13 inch cake pan with cooking spray.

In a large bowl cream the butter and sugar. Add eggs, vanilla and milk to make a smooth batter. In a separate bowl combine flour, Clabber Girl Baking Powder and salt. Stir into batter and beat for one minute. Spread half of the batter into the pan; spoon cherry pie filling over. Dollop the rest of the batter onto the cherry pie filling.

Bake for about 50 to 60 minutes or until cake top is gently browned. Cool well before serving
