Buttermilk and Chive Griddle Cakes

These savory pancakes will make you want this traditional breakfast item for dinner!


  • 2 lg. eggs slightly beaten
  • 2 c. buttermilk
  • 2 tbsp. vegetable oil
  • 2 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
  • 1 tbsp. sugar
  • 1 tsp. Clabber Girl Baking Powder
  • 1 tsp. Rumford Baking Soda
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 3 tbsp. chives fresh and chopped


Combine eggs, buttermilk and vegetable oil; set aside.

Combine flour, sugar, Clabber Girl Baking Powder, Rumford Baking Soda and salt. Add liquid mixture to dry and stir until just moistened.

Stir in chives. Cook on greased griddle about 2 minutes; turning once.
