Fluffy Fruit Frosting

You can use your favorite fruit juice to add flavor to your frosting. Just add in a teaspoon and taste the difference.


  • 1 c. sugar
  • 2 egg whites
  • 2 tsp. white corn syrup
  • 1/8 tsp. salt
  • 4 tbsp. cold water
  • 1 tsp. fruit juice


Combine sugar, egg whites, water, corn syrup, and salt in upper part of a double boiler. Place over boiling water and beat constantly with a rotary beater until frosting will stand in peaks, or about 7 minutes. Add fruit juice. Cool before frosting the cake.
