Creamy Filling I

  • 1/4 c. all-purpose flour
  • 1 c. milk
  • 1/2 c. butter softened
  • 1/2 c. butter softened
  • 1/2 c. shortening
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 tbsp. vanilla
  • 1/4 tsp. salt


In a small saucepan, mix flour and milk; beat until thick. Remove from heat and let cool. Cream butter, shortening and sugar. Add vanilla and salt. Combine with the cooled flour mixture and beat until smooth. From the Clabber Girl Recipe Book "RECIPES TO WARM THE HEART"
