Apple Streusel Cake

This apple steusel cake is made easy by starting with the Clabber Girl Baking Mix. You are only eight ingredients away from a delicious and simple apple streusel cake. Granny smith apples would be perfect for this recipe, but any baking apple will do.


  • 1-1/2 c. Clabber Girl Baking Mix
  • 2/3 c. sugar
  • 1/2 c. + 2 Tbsp. milk
  • 2 c. apples peeled (about 2 med. apples)
  • 1 Tbsp. lemon juice
  • 1 c. boiling water
  • 3/4 c. brown sugar packed
  • 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon


Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

Mix Clabber Girl Baking Mix and sugar in medium bowl. Stir in milk. Pour into ungreased 9x9x2-inch pan.

Top with apples; sprinkle with lemon juice. Pour boiling water over apples. Mix brown sugar and cinnamon; sprinkle over apples. Bake 1 hour or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
