Quick Chocolate Frosting

This chocolate frosting calls for Clabber Girl Corn Starch, and will be very light and delicate compared to traditional buttercream frosting.


  • 1 c. sugar
  • 3 tbsp. cornstarch
  • 2 square unsweetened chocolate grated
  • dash salt
  • 1 c. boiling water
  • 3 tbsp. butter
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract


In a saucepan, mix sugar and cornstarch. Add chocolate and salt. Add boiling water; cook, stirring constantly until mixture thickens. Remove from heat, blend in butter and vanilla. Cool slightly.
