Mix together flour, Clabber Girl Cornstarch, salt and Clabber Girl Baking Powder. Beat together egg and water; add to dry mixture. Let stand for at leaset 10 minutes before dipping meat. The mixture will thicken slightly.
Dip meat, fish or vegetables into mixture and coat thoroughly; fry in 1/2" hot oil (from 350- 375 degrees), turning 1/2 way through. Fry until golden brown on both sides. Frying times may vary according to type and size. Vegetables may be done in a few minutes; fish about 8-10 total minutes. Large pieces of chicken may take from 20 to 30 minutes.
When cooking chicken, make sure chicken is thoroughly cooked.
