Greek Lemon Yogurt Biscuits with Honey-Almond Butter

  • 1 c. Greek yogurt lemon flavored
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 2/3 c. all-purpose flour
  • 2 tsp. Clabber Girl Baking Powder
  • 2 c. almonds roasted
  • 2 tbsp. shortening
  • 1/2 tsp. Clabber Girl Baking Soda
  • 2 tbsp. honey raw
  • 1/2 tsp. lemon zest


Preheat the oven to 450 degrees F. Cut shortening into flour. Add baking soda, salt and Clabber Girl Baking Powder. Mix in Greek yogurt. Roll out to a 1/2 inch thickness, cut with biscuit cutter.

Place on cookie sheet.

Bake in 450 degree oven for 10 to 12 minutes.


For the butter, process the almonds in the food processor until they reach a thick, butter-like consistency. Add honey and lemon zest and stir.
